Confetti Egg Craft 10/12/2013 3:00:00 PM
Confetti Egg Craft
Join us for Hispanic Heritage Month and learn the art of confetti eggs! A cascarone, or confetti egg, is a festive, hollow egg shell filled with confetti. The colorful egg is crushed in the hand over a recipient's head, showering him or her in confetti. This tradition is most often carried out among friends and family. Cascarones derive from Mexico and are used for many different occasions (but mostly at Easter). This craft is intended for ages 6 and up.
